Adamawa State Primary Health Care
Development Agency in collaboration with UNFPA and Federal Ministry of Health has
conducted one day stakeholders meeting on how to integrate and Unified State
Supply Chain.
Delivering his goodwill message, the
UNFPA state focal person Mr Auwal Abubakar said the essence of the meeting is
to work out modalities that will improve the design and implementation of
unified supply chain system in the state; according to him, the new system if
fully developed will cover the last mile distribution of vaccines as well as
improve services such as HIV, TB, Malaria, family planning and general
reproductive health systems.
In her welcome address, the state reproductive health coordinator Mrs Amina Mohammed said the
expected outcomes of the meeting is to
review the current supply chain, integrate system design including preliminary
costing, review status of state LMCU formation and progress implementation and
fashion out standard timeline for the design and implementation of functional
LMCU for the year 2016.
Topics presented during the meeting
covers General overview of current supply chain and development partner support
from 2008 to date. Program officers of Malaria, HIV/TB, Vaccines/Immunization,
ICCM and LMCU State coordinators are in attendance.
