Adamawa  Youths  have been urged to take advantage of skills  acquisition  centres established by the state government so as to be self reliance  and to contribute towards the development of the  society and the state in general.

The Governor made the called while  inspecting facilities  at the Technical Training school  (TTS )  in Yola South  local government area where  One Hundred and Seventy -Nine  youths are receiving  training in  various skills.

Governor Jibrilla thanked the  UNDP  piloted  initiatives and  all   international agencies  that are assisting unemployed  youths  to acquire skilful  knowledge.

“youths future leaders,  no society  or hating can  develop  without concern and willingness of government in ensuring that it's citizens are  technologically  oriented.”

He also  assured that his government will  provide  portable drinking water  and feeding to trainees at the  centre   to alleviate their hardship.
The  Technical Training  centre  is well  equipped with a  modern heavy and light duty  machines of various types of  craft  ranging from Aluminium  fabrication, Electrical, Automobile and GSM phone  repairs.

While  conducting the Governor round the corner, the special Adviser to the Governor  on Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Alhaji Ayuba Audu  said the  centre has also  conducted  training  for Women on Beads making  and other house hold  suppliers.

Some of the trainers were selected from Yobe and Borno  states which are devastated as a result of  Boko Haram insurgency.
