Punitive measures would be taking against any Ministry, Agencies and Local Government Councils who rejects Corps Members posted to such Organisations for their Primary Assignment.
Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla who gave the warning during the closing ceremony of 2016 Batch B stream II Corp members deployed to Adamawa state stated that government has appreciated the numerious contributions of the Corp members in uplifting the standard of living of the people in various communities. He urged the Corps members to make use of the orientation course in the service year.
He also assured them that Adamawa state Government is poised to tackle the challenges of the NYSC scheme in the state and to turn around its fortunes so that the Corps members be motivated to give in their best, stressing that adequate arrangements have been made to give decent accommodation and other welfare incentives for optimum performance.
Earlier in his remarks, the state Coordinator of NYSC Mallam Abubakar Mohammed had appreciated the efforts of the Adamawa state Government for providing foods and other facilities during the Three Weeks Orientation Exercise at the Camp.
He explained that about 1,850 (One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty) Corps members were deployed to Adamawa state for 2016 Batch B. National service.
Mallam Abubakar Mohammed thanked the security agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace and security during the orientation exercise at the Camp.
