Adamawa State Government has stood down appointments of Civil Servants employed between September 2018 and May 2019.
Briefing
Journalists Wednesday shortly after the first meeting of the EXCO of
the State in 2020, the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Dr.
Umar Garba said that the Council has approved the recommendations of the
white paper committee for the implementation and regularization of
recruitment and transfer of service in Adamawa Civil Service.
The
Spoke man of the Adamawa EXCO revealed that those affected were civil
servants employed from September 2018 to May 2019 while hinting that a
lot of irregularities were found in the processes of recruiting the
workers.And, advise the affected workers to seek for new employment.
The
Commissioner also explained that the Executive Council has approved
one-hundred and fifty million naira counter part funding for the
European Union Supported Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Reform
Programme (WSSSRP III) in two Local Government Areas of Fufore and Mubi
South.
He said that in Fufore LGA, boreholes will be drilled
in Gurin, Dasin Hausa, Malabu and Fufore town while in Mubi South, Mubi
Water Treatment Plant will be rehabilitated and boreholes will be
drilled and pump stations will be constructed in Gude and Gela.
Dr.
Garba said that the Executive Council has also approved reform in the
entire Ministry of Transportation and its mandate. This he said will
include the amendment of the law establishing the Ministry and to key
into Nigeria Shippers Council so as Adamawa State will benefit from
marine transportation.
