NEWS;Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Stresses Administration's Commitments In Providing Health Care Services to the people of the State as Encapsulated in Campaign Promise

The Governor stated this  at the PEER review meeting of the federal Government Saving One Million Lives programme  for the North East Zone held at the American University of Nigeria AUN club Yola .

Governor Finitiri who was represented by the Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth,said Adamawa state is at the forefront of  promoting health care service delivery at all levels. He assured that the present administration will always support federal government interventions and any other development partners that will bring programmes that will improve the well being of the Adamawa indigenous.

The National Programme Manager Save One Million Lives  SOML, Dr Ibrahim Kana said the   program is designed by the  federal ministry of health to carter for the health needs of Nigerians. He maintained that the meeting will enable stakeholders to review its  activities and improve where necessary geared towards achieving a desired goals.

The Commissioner Ministry of Health, Professor Abdullahi Isa said saving one million lives programme for results remains the major initiative with the potential for making significant impact on quality health care accessibility. He disclosed that Adamawa state under the Fintiri Administration has recorded huge success in system strengthening, health care workers capacity building, infrastructural development covering both primary and secondary health care service delivery.

Professor Isa reitrates that Government has placed priority in all health care programmes especially maternal and child health services, saying SOML has help a lot in facilitating the ministry's activities in the state.

Participants were drawn from the north eastern states of Adamawa, Yobe, Borno and Taraba.
