The Commissioner Ministry For Information And Strategy Mr. Iliya James has reiterated state government commitment in improvement of equipment as well as staff welfare of staff of the state owned radio station (ABC) Yola.

He stated this when he paid an on-the-spot assessment of the station and was accompanied by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Comrade Solomon Kumangar. 

It could be recalled that the state executive Council presided over by Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri recently approved the replacement of equipment of the station to enhance  the dissemination of information to the populace.  

The commissioner, who was conducted round Studio and equipment of the radio station, by General Manager of ABC Yola, Mr. Dahiru Payi, noted that the intention of government was to enable the station provide quality service in accordance to it's mandate.

He task the management and staff of the broadcasting station to be more innovative and work in tune with changing times as their name connotes.

Mr. James re-echoed  stated government willingness to re-engage more hands as the current situation in the next few months will leave the station with no permanent staff. 

The commissioner's entourage was earlier received by management of the station consisting of directors and staff of the station.

The commissioner later paid similar visits to The Scope Newspaper, Adamawa Television as well as the Correspondents Chapel.
