The Governor of Adamawa State, the Right Honourable Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has offered his congratulations to the newly installed leaders of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (EYN).
Governor Fintiri, who was present at the inauguration ceremony held on Saturday at the EYN's headquarters in Kwarhi, Hong LGA, commended the Reverend Dr. Daniel Mbaya, the newly elected EYN President. He praised Dr. Mbaya's dedication, service to the church, and his scholarly contributions during his time as the former General Secretary.
The Governor highlighted Dr. Mbaya's commitment to social justice and the spiritual well-being of the congregation. He expressed his confidence in Dr. Mbaya's leadership and its positive influence on the EYN's mission.

Governor Fintiri emphasised the importance of Dr. Mbaya's voice in tackling social issues and promoting unity.
He underlined the significance of interfaith respect and understanding, while describing Nigeria's diverse religious landscape as a source of strength and cohesion for the nation.

The Governor offered his good wishes to the new EYN leadership and expressed his hope for a continued partnership between the EYN and the wider community.
He expressed his gratitude to the outgoing leadership for their contributions and encouraged the EYN congregation to remain steadfast in their faith. And, called for the congregation's support and prayers for the government.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President of the EYN, Rev. Dr. Daniel Mbaya, expressed his appreciation for the role played by the previous church leadership. He pledged to build upon their efforts.
Rev. Dr. Mbaya also identified key areas where the new leadership will focus its efforts to improve the church's mission. These areas of concentration are likely to be outlined in more detail in the coming months.

further alluded to plans by the new principal officers to introduce initiatives and developments that will glorify God and strengthen the church, both physically and spiritually.
Rev. Dr. Mbaya also acknowledged the efforts of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in promoting development, peaceful coexistence, and unity among the state's diverse population.

Among the notable prospects highlighted by the new leadership for pursuit are the establishment of a university, as well as television and radio stations.
The Inauguration and oath taking for the newly EYN leadership was Presides by the Church's spiritual Adviser, Rev. Ezra Dawui.

The new National Principal Officers of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria included– the President, Reverend Dr. Daniel Yusufu  Mbaya, the Vice President, Reverend Nuhu Mutah Abba, the General Secretary - Reverend James K. Musa, and the Administrative Secretary Reverend Amb. Timta L. Musa.
