Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta has presided over meeting between Independent Petroleum Marketer's Association of Nigeria, IPMAN and Nigeria Custom Service, NCS that ended a one day feud that resulted in closure of fuel station by members of IPMAN.

The meeting was summoned to mediate between the two warring parties.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the meeting held at the deputy governor's office Wednesday, both IPMAN and the Nigeria Customs Service agreed to work in synergy for the benefit of the citizens and the overall development of the state.

Deputy governor professor Kaletapwa said all issues that led to the fracas, leading to the closure of all the filling stations in Adamawa has been iron out, and full operations has resumed at the stations.

She maintained that the fresh air administration being the government of the people would not fold it arms and watch its citizens suffer under any guise, hence the intervention.

In their separate remarks, the Custom Comptroller Adamawa-Taraba command Garba Bashir and the state secretary IPMAN Abdulmalik Bello said all the pressing issues has been resolved and dispensation of fuel at the filling stations has commenced in earnest.

While commending the government of Adamawa for its swift response to the problem by demonstrating the spirit of sportsmanship, they assured to continue working with understanding for the good of the state.

It could be recalled that on Monday, IPMAN downed tools for alleged intimidation of members and what it perceived as illegal seizure of their Tankers and petroleum products by Custom officers in Adamawa.
