Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, urged Permanent Secretaries to live up to responsibilities before them as well as compliment State Government's efforts towards a productive Civil Service in the state.

The Governor gave the charge while addressing  Permanent Secretaries during an induction training held at the Nyako's centre, state Secretariat, Jimeta-Yola.

Represented by his Deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Gorge Farauta, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, congratulated the Permanent Secretaries, stressing the training is meant to enrich their skills and knowledge.

He cautioned that it will not be business as usual and called on them to shun favouritism and nonchalant attitude towards work, but urged them to render services that is beneficial to the state and it's citizens.

The Governor advised the Permanent Secretaries to be open to learning to enable them improve their skills, for no one has the monopoly of knowledge.

Earlier, the Head of Service, Pharmacist Shehu Isa Ardo said as the backbone of state’s bureaucracy, responsible for driving policy implemention for effective governance and service delivery, their expertise and commitment is expected to shape the future of the state.

The training according to him, tends to equip them with knowledge, skills and best practices to enable them excel in their positions, as well as expose the Permanent Secretaries to workings and challenges associated with their offices.

He reminded the Permanent Secretaries to work towards a more efficient, effective and responsive government that delivers on its promises to the people of Adamawa.
