As part of efforts to ensure landslide victory at the local government elections, People's Democratic Party, PDP stakeholders in Adamawa state have held a consultative meeting to update it's members on the upcoming 13th July 2024 polls.

It could be recalled that following the expiration of tenure of local government Chairmen and legislative members, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has constituted a five man board for the state Electoral Commission to enable it conduct election of local government executives across twenty local government areas of the state.

Speaking at the state PDP stakeholders meeting held at the Government House Banquet Hall Yola, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who was represented by  Deputy Governor, professor Kaletapwa Farauta, called for tolerance amongst party faithfuls, and charged them on the need to learn to live in peace with one another to enable government work effectively.

Governor Fintiri also encouraged party members to go out enmass to campaign for the victory of PDP at the local government polls and sued for unity and tolerance for success.

The PDP chairman, Adamawa state Barrister, Abubakar Tahir Shehu, urged members to eschew all forms of bitterness and work as a formidable team for the success of the party.

Barrister Shehu said the party is operating within the time table given to political parties by the state electoral umpire, hence members should stay focuse for the party to succeed at the polls.

Barrister Shehu, thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led government for being gender sensitive and all inclusive, urging stakeholders to go out and mobilize people ahead of the campaigns.
