NEWS: Adamawa Speaker Drums up Support for Girl-Chield Education

The speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Kabiru Mijinyawa has called on both government and parents to ensure proper upbringing of the girl-child by ensuring that they acquire quality education at all levels.
 

The Speaker made the call in a telephone interview as the world marked the international day of the girl-child. He commended Adamawa state government for sustaining female only primary and junior secondary schools across the state. He however said a lot needs to be done especially for those in areas hit by insurgency.
 

Rt Honourable Mijinyawa said he is considering proposing a law that will penalise anyone relating to the background the education of the girl-child.
