Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has dissolved the Management Board of the State owned Football team, Adamawa United.
The dissolution is with immediate effect and the Management is to hand over all Government property and documents to the ministry immediately.
In a statement signed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s Press Secretary, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou said the Governor commended the Management of the team for working hard to nurture the club and take it where it is today, adding that Government will not allow the club go down but will ensure it consolidates on the gains so far.
According to Mr Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri noted that “the need to inject fresh blood and latest techniques as well as reinvigorate and restore the loss glory of the game of soccer, informed Governments decision”.
The statement concluded that Governor Fintiri thanked the Management for accepting to serve in that capacity that enabled them to contribute to the growth of the game of soccer in Adamawa.
