On Wednesday 2^nd December, 2015. Her Excellency Hajiya Maryam Muhammad Umar Jibirilla flag-off 3 days Capacity Building Workshop for widows on small scale Business at Government Lodge, in Mubi-North Local Government.

   In her speech, Hajiya Maryam Umar Jibirilla said "As a result of  insurgents  attacks  in  the state , a lot of  women became widows  and  the situation  they find themselves  is pathetic  a lots  of  burden are now on  your  heads; given you this skills and token to start a small business will assist in reducing your economic hardship”.  She presents the sum of twenty thousand (N20, 000.00) naira to the beneficiaries and urged them to make use of what they will acquire in the workshop.

  

In his remarks, the Hon. Commissioner Ministry of Women Affairs, Social Development and Integration, Alhaji Aliyu Bello Tola, expressed the Ministry's appreciations to her Excellency and prayed for God almighty to grant her wisdom to continue to help the less privilege in the state.

  The Chairperson, Widow's   Association Council,  Mrs. Hilda Makanto in her remarks said “she stayed long in widow's council but she never experienced this kind of gesture”. Mrs Makantu appreciates Her Excellency and urged the widows to utilize the token given to them judiciously.

   Hajiya Maryam Bindow was accompanied by Deputy Governor's wife Mrs. Florence Martins Babale, wife of speaker state House of Assembly, wives of Hon. Commissioners, Heads of service, ALGON Chairman Alhaji Muhammad Chubado, APC women leaders and staff from ministry of women Affairs.
