The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has said
it will shut down water supply to Gudu and Apo Legislative Quarters areas of
Abuja to enable the FCT Water Board repair a burst water chamber along Kubwa
road, by Mobil Filling Station.
This disruption, according to the Director, FCT Water Board,
Hudu Bello, commences immediately to enable the board assess the extent of
damage and possibly begin immediate repairs.
Normal water supply, Bello said, would be restored immediately
after comprehensive assessment and repair of the damaged water chamber.
Residents of these affected areas have therefore been advised
to store enough water to last them through this period.
