News: LCCN Gets New Arch Bishop

The Lutheran church of Christ in Nigeria (Lccn)has elected it's arch Bishop to pilot the affairs of the Lutherans in Nigeria for the next four years, he is most Reverend Musa Filibus , the Bishop of Mayo Belwa Diocese. 

  Held at the Lutheran church of Christ LCCN No. 1 Cathedral Nassarawo Jimeta Yola, won against his opponent most Reverend Nemuel A  Babba with  Four Hundred and Forty votes, while most Reverend Nemuel scored One Hundred and Eight votes.

  The election was conducted under a peaceful atmosphere with a total number of Five Hundred and Fifty Three General Church Council Members.The election aimed to elect a leader that will champion  the affairs of LCCN not only to the state but the country as whole. 

  In his farewell message , the former Arch Bishop Most Reverend Nemuel assured him a full support which he said God chooses a leader of his choice prayed for God guidance and grace upon his life through out his regime. 

   Nemuel on the other hand commended the Lutherans for the support and cooperation given to him and urged them to do same to the new Arch Bishop. 

In his acceptance speech most Reverend musa Filibus express optimism said the election was conducted in God's will where he pledge his readiness for God's service. He urged the council not to relent in praying for him so as to enable him carry his duties effectively.
