NEWS: "People of Adamawa State have been Assured of Continuous Provision of Dividends of Democracy by the Present Administration" Says Information Commissioner

By Yunusa Abdullahi This was disclosed by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Information and Strategy Comrade Ahmad Ibrahim Sajoh while briefing Journalists at the end of the 21st State Executive Council Meeting  (EXCO ) presided over by Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla held at the Adamawa state University Mubi . According to the Commissioner of  Information and Strategy , the EXCO has deliberated on a number of issues that would be beneficial to the development and progress of the people of Adamawa State.  He  said that the EXCO have approved  the sum of  Three  Hundred  Million Naira  for the  provision of street lights along  Ahmadu Bello Way in  Mubi Town  as part of extension of urbanization  of Towns by the present Government under Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla . The  Information Commissioner also announced that the  EXCO  discussed on the issue of the Adamawa State University Mubi  with a view to  made the University One of the Best  in terms of Learning and academics excellence in the  country. The  Council also  discussed on the Mubi burnt bricks  industry and agreed  on the state government  intervention  in order to  make the industry operates in  full capacity  so as to  boost the socioeconomic activities  of the state . The  Information Commissioner also  explained that the EXCO also  deliberated on the 2017 Budget  proposal  sectorialy, pointing out that Transparency, Prudence and Accountability would  always be  the watch  words of the Government of Senator Bindow  to the people of Adamawa state. The Governor and Members of the State Executive Council also  inspected GSS  and GTSS  Mubi where the Governor  reiterated the commitment of his administration in providing quality and  sound education to the children of Adamawa state "Because of the  seriousness and commitment of the present government  towards  uplifting the standard of Education in Adamawa state , I declared the state of emergency on Education sector , because Education  is the bedrock for  progress  and development of any society ". He however  had an interactive session with the  Management and Members of the Academic Staff  Union of  University  (ASUU) Adamawa State  University Mubi  Chapter  where the Governor  announced that a Five Man  Administrative  Panel of Inquiry  would be  inaugurated to look into the problems of the  University  which  will be  headed by the  Chairman Governing Council of the University  and Four  others. Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla  accompanied by  Members of the State Executive Council  also  paid a courtesy visit on the Emir of Mubi Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu  at his palace where  the Royal Father assured  him of total  support and cooperation of the  traditional  rulers  of his  domain for the overall progress and development of the state .   The  State Executive Council  Meeting  was the  3rd in series to be presided over by Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla  outside the council chambers of the Government House Yola .
