The Adamawa State Government has completed the supply and installation of Mini Bill Boards on major designated roads within the Jimeta metropolis.
The Mini bill Boards which are fastened to streets lights along major streets are part of government’s advocacy on Health related matters and human Development.
A statement from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mahmud B. Bindir indicated that the State Government has also completed the contract awarded for the provision of street light along Abubakar Atiku way Jimeta and rehabilitation of street lights from Welcome to Yola Gate to Government House junction, 80 Units Junction through Kashim Ibrahim and Mohammed Mustafa ways.
Other projects completed are, Amendment and Refurbishing of Maidoki Round About, Police Round About, and Pavement from Police Round About to Government House junction. Renovation and furnishing of Gambo Lodge at government House, provision of street lights from Faro junction to Mubi Bye pass along Jambutu, Rehabilitation of Access Road and Landscaping work at Deputy Governor’s office. Renovation of 1 Block, 4 Bedroom Flat at Government House and Installation of street lights along Yola Town Bye pass from Jippu Jam Round About to ABC junction.
The statement further indicated that other projects that are on-going include the installation of street light at Mubi, the installation of Transformer for street lights in Jimeta, Yola and renovation of Lodge J1.
The statement further indicated that besides changing the landscape of the State through infrastructural development and favourable development policies, the State Government under the Bindow administration is accelerating the process of development to touch all sectors before the termination of his first tenure.
