Members of Search for Common Ground are to Partner with the Adamawa State Government in the Areas of Conflict Resolution and Peace Building.
Mr. Cletor Manjova who disclosed this when he led a delegation of members of the organisation on a courtesy visit to Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla at Government House Yola explained that the organisation will partner with the state Government for the establishment of an agency with the state on Peace Building, Social cohesion and conflict resolution mong the people of the state.
According to Mr. Cletor Manjova, capacity building is one of the strategy or the organisation in order to maintain the relative existing peace at local level. He commended Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla for his efforts in maintaining peace and purposeful leadership, explaining that the Organisation has trained some communities in the state for the sustainance of Peace on early warning and early response mechanism so as to improve peace in the state .
He however stated that Search for Common Ground operates in about Nine Local Government Areas of the state and met with the stakeholders no discussed the treat of Peace in their communities.
Responding Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla said the peace interprice of Adamawa State Is non negotiable and commended search for Common Ground for their courageous efforts in ensuring that peace and mutual cohesion continue to prevail in Adamawa State.
The Governor also said that the State Government will continue to support the organisation at all times, maintaining that without peace no any meaningful development can be achieved and assured his government support and readiness to Partner with the Search for Common Ground in the state.
