The Adamawa state Government has expressed readiness to collaborate with Ashaka Cement Company for the Exploration of Limestone in Guyuk Local government area.
Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla revealed this when the management Team from Ashaka Cement Company led by the Managing Director Mallam Rabiu Abdullahi Umar paid him a courtesy visit at Government House Yola.
The Governor stated that Ashaka Cement Company is one of the pride of the North East,and appreciated the management of the company for the visit, assuring that government will do everything possible for the actualization of the project.
Earlier in his remarks ,the Managing Director of Ashaka Cement Company Mallam Rabiu Abdullahi Umar said the management of the company were at Government House to intimate the Governor over the decision taken by the company for the Exploration of Limestone in Guyuk Local government area in view of the abandoned resources in the area.
He said that apart from Cement production ,the company intends to build Sixteen Mega Watts power plant through Bio mass for the supply of electricity for the use of the company and the benefiting community .
He also explained that the company will establish skills acquisition centres in order to support youths as well as to provide scholarship scheme to the benefiting communities and employment.
The Managing Director also described Ashaka Cement factory as one of the largest Cement producers in the world and has contributed immensely in the area of building infrastructure .
