GOVERNOR: BINDOW JIBRILLA BAGS NIGERIAN NEWSDIRECT GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR AWARD.

TheExecutive Governor of Adamawa , Bindow Umaru Jibrilla was honoured with an outstanding award as the Nigerian Newsdirect Governor of the year on road, infrastructure and health 2018, at its 8th Anniversary Lecture and Awards night, which took place 2nd February 2019, at the Eko hotel and suite, Lagos. 

The theme: Indegeneous Participation/Economic recovery and growth plan; Roles of corporate governance, Bank credit, oil and infrastructure  was aimed at building an inclusive economy in the country. 

His Excellency was recognised for the meritorious award after an extensive research conducted by the Director General of Chamber and Commerce, Dr. Muda Yusuf. 

The governor who was highly represented by the Honourable Commissioner of the Adamawa state Ministry of Information and Strategy, Honourable Ahmed Sajoh said the excellent performance of the Governor is attainable due to political stability in the state.  

In his statement, the Commissioner said " Adamawa state was the most turbulent in the history of politics where you have 8 governor in 8years,but for the last three and the half years, there has been political stability, which has brought development and progress in the state. 

The Commissioner commended the Nigerian Newsdirect for their initiatives.  He also said that the Adamawa state government will not relent in its effort to bring development to the state.

Some dignitaries that were also given award at the event include Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Minister of power works and housing Hon. Babatunde Raji Fashola, the M.D. of the Nigerian Port Authority Ms. Hadiza Bala Usman among others.
