Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri applauded the resilient and doggedness of Corps members who traveled out of their comfort zone for national assignment.He also assured them that Adamawa state is one of best place to serve.

This came to fore at the opening ceremony of Batch 'B' stream ll orientation course for Corps Members deployed to Adamawa State, held at the permanent orientation Camp, Damare, Gerei LGA.

Represented by the Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth, the Governor urged  the newly posted corps members to take the training they will receive from the camp very serious as it will prepared them both physically, morally and mentally to the challenges ahead. 

The Deputy Governor also charged the corps members to shun all the negative rumors filtering the air about the State, adding that Adamawa State is relatively peaceful.

The Deputy Governor on behalf of Governor Umaru Fintiri further donated five cows, twenty bags of rice and five jericans of oil to the 1,400 youths corps members posted to Adamawa State

Earlier, the State Coordinator, NYSC Adamawa State Mallam Ibrahim Mohammed saluted the courage summoned by  the State Government in the fight against crime and terrorism in the state. He also prevailed on the newly corps members to consider themselves privileged to be among the members of the NYSC Scheme.

Climax of the ceremony was the presentation of portrait to the Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth.
