NEWS;ADAMAWA STATE GOVERNMENT TO ESTABLISH STATE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AGENCY

Deputy Governor , Chief  Crowther Seth said the State Government will collaborate with Road Safety in Adamawa to ensure that the establishment of the State Management Office comes to reality.

Chief Crowther Seth disclosed this Thursday at the Flag off of  third quarter zonal retreat of FRSC RS3 at  Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola, with the theme "improving public enlightenment through stakeholders collaboration". Chief Crowther said Adamawa Government under Ahmadu Fintiri will continue to partner with the Road Safety Commission in order to enlighten the public on the danger of over speeding and reckless driving.

The Deputy Governor however, called on the general public to always adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the Commission so that the rate of accident can reduce drastically.

The Zonal Commanding Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Edward Zambe said the establishment of State Traffic  Management Agency will go along way to control and regulate traffic related issues within the cities. He also said it will help in preventing highway accidents, enlighten and inform drivers on effective ways of using highways.

Earlier, the Rector Adamawa State Polytechnic, Profesor Ibrahim Umar said it is pertinent for such gathering, because it will go along way in addressing the menace of accident in the State. He also urged management of tertiary institutions to educate and enlighten  teeming youths on the danger  of drinking and recklessness when driving.He caution the tricycle riders, drivers to be mindful of how they drive, as the Commission will not hesitate in dealing with whoever that violates the rules and regulations of the commission.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Chief of Staff ,Professor Maxwell Giddado, SAN among others.
