Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has received new Commissioner of Police posted to Adamawa and charged him to bring to end the activities of criminals.
The newly Commissioner of Police, Mr. Benga Adeyanju was received by Adamawa Governor at Government House Yola during his familiarisation visit.
Governor Fintiri urged the CP not relent to ensure that the State is well secured while assuring him Government’s cooperation in maintenance of security across the State and wished him success in his assignment.
Earlier in his remark, CP Benga Adeyanju said he was in the Government House, to formally inform the Governor that he assumed his new assignment in the state.
The CP described Adamawa his second home for during his mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps NYSC, he served in the state.
Mr. Adeyanju assured that he will do his best in ensuring that he discharge his responsibility accordingly to make Adamawa safe.
Mr. Benga Adeyanju took over from Audu Madaki who was transferred to Force Headquarters in Abuja, FCT for a new assignment.
The new CP during the visit was accompanied by senior officers of the police in Adamawa State Command.
