The State Information Officers sat on Thursday 8th October, 2020 to delibarate on the way forward about the publication of a quarterly News, "Adamawa review".
However, the meeting had in attendance the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Salisu Buba who represented the Honourable Commissioner and the Principal Officers of the Ministry.
In his opening remark, the Permanent Secretary, Mallam Salisu Buba applauded the efforts of the Information Officers for their contributions towards the success of the first publication and charged them to exhibit the same or even more in the subsequent publications.
Furthermore, the Director Information, Alhaji Sa'ad Binkola has also commended the efforts of Information Officers and also briefed them about how the publication gain recommendations by various MDAs seeking an inclusion in the subsequent publications.
The Director also assured that the next publication is going to gain a wider coverage.
Mr Patrick Anyom, the editor of Adamawa review in his own message stated that proper structures need to be put in place such as Newsroom, complete team, logistics, proper funding and other things that will aided a smooth and effectiveness of the publication.
He also advised the Management to plan earlier for the next publication so as to avoid clashing the project with festive season. And, lastly he advised Information Officers to always avail themselves in the Ministry for updates.
In another development, Falluma Vanco an information officer with the state Ministry of Youths and Sports drewn the attention of the Ministry on the activities of some group called " Commissioner's Media Aide Forum" who sent letters seeking for an audience with Honourable Commissioners in the various Ministries.
The meeting was ended with a word of appreciation and encouragement from the Deputy Director Information, Mr Obidah Dzarma.
