Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has signed into law the 2021 budget for the State which was cristalled "Budget of Stabilization".


The budget was passed into law by Adamawa State House of Assembly on 24th December, exactly one month after Governor Fintiri presented the appropriation bill to House.


Signing the budget Saturday in Government House Yola, Governor Fintiri disclosed that the Adamawa State House of Assembly has passed the 2021 budget into law of one hundred and forty billion, thirty four million, four hundred and nine thousand, four hundred and four Naira, (N140,034,409,440).


While thanking Adamawa State House of Assembly for putting the State first ahead of their interest, Governor Fintiri assured to sustain the cordial relationship between the Executive and the Legislative arm of Government for the betterment of Adamawa.


He said the budget of stabilization will see to the improvement on infrasture and human capital development, describing it as the nexus that will see to the sustainance of democracy.


Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri revealed that in the 2021 budget of stabilization his administration has prioritised youth and women empowerment programme. He said, over sixteen billion naira has been allotted to youth empowerment programme while fifty two percent of the budget was allotted to capital infrastructure, the first in the history of the State he added.


He maintained, in order to sustain democracy, government must work tirelessly to revive the economy which was declined  following the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.


The Governor was optimistic that by first quarter 2021, the country will roll out of recession; so as to enable the government provide more dividends of democracy to the people.


He assured that his administration will continue to give positive impact to the lives of the citizens through provision of better road infrastructure, school, health and youth and women empowerment.


While thanking the media for the role they played in the year 2020, he charged them to vigorously follow the 2021 budget so as to ensure its full implementation; cover all the projects Adamawa Government is embarking across the State to let the world know how his administration is transforming the State.


It could be recalled on  23rd November, 2020 Governor Fintiri presented to ADHA 2021 appropriation bill of one hundred and forty billion, thirty four million, four hundred and nine thousand, four hundred and forty (N140, 034,409,440) naira.


A total of seventy two billion, eight hundred and seventeen million, eight hundred and ninety two thousand, nine hundred and ten (N72,817,892,910) naira was allotted for capital expenditure representing 52% while sixty seven billion, two hundred and sixteen million, five hundred and sixteen thousand, five hundred and thirty (N67,216,516,530) naira representing 48% was earmarked for recurrent expenditure.
