HEALTH: MDAs Information and Communication Officers Received Training on Infodemics and Social Media Management

The State Ministry of Health in Collaboration with NCDC and Partners have engaged relevant MDAs on Social Media and Management on Public Health Communication. The training is aimed at exposing the participants to Risk and Communication Management with the following Objectives; to develop and implement social media strategies for public health communication in the State, to monitor and manage the information on social media during an outbreak, to disseminate accurate and timely information about the outbreak to the public and to strengthen Infodemics management process in the State.

The training consists of paper presentations, video display, group work and game for easy understanding and comprehension.

Participants were drawn from the State Ministry of Health, Water Resources, Environment, Agriculture, Information and Strategy, primary Health Care Development Agency, National Orientation Agency, NCDC, etc.

 

The 5 day training was digital based as almost everything was done using computer and the internet.
