Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has attended a civic Reception of Hon Mohammed Inuwa Bassi, Member representing Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo Federal Constituency. And, reiterated hisadministration's readines to fight perpetrators of crime.

 
Adding that his administration will not sleep untill all forms of criminalities are wiped in the state. He Noted that security is everybody's business, calling on the citizenry to help the security operatives in the fight against crime by exposing the perpetrators.
 

The Governor who, on Sunday at Mayo Kalaye in Jada LGA venue of the reception warned criminals to desist from the evil act, sympathized with victims of kidnapping and other crime in the constituency.
 

While highlighting remarkable achievements by his administration in the health and education sectors, Governor Fintiri disclosed that, 100 schools across the state will be used for girl-child education policy that his Government introduced.
 

According to Governor Fintiri, women between age 15 and 22 who left school because of any reason, will be given second chance for enrollment to study in public schools in the state.
He disclosed that monthly, 2000 set of women will start benefiting from empowerment programme of his administration. In the empowerment programme he explained, women will be given stipend to start businesses that will take them out of poverty.
 

He called on the citizenry to support Federal Government in its policy of subsidy removal which will soon benefit all Nigerians. Governor Fintiri said that programme to bring succor to the masses is on the way by his administration with the Chief of Staff, Dr Edgar Amos to be the chairman. In the programme, parliative will be given to the citizens to bring succor to the hardship of subsidy removal.
 

While Governor Fintiri speaking on the celebrant the Member Representing Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo Federal Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Inuwa Bassi he said the Lwa Maker is one of the beneficiaries of the success recorded by the PDP in the general polls. He said that now that he is elected, he is representing everyone in the Constituency calling on his constituents to rally support for the Federal Law Maker.
 

Governor Fintiri disclosed that when Hon. Bassi was at the State House of Assembly, he contributed in sponsoring bills that benefitted the state. One of which he said is the bill that gave 6000 women priveledge to benefit from poverty alleviation programme of the government.
He enjoined Hon. Bassi to work hard and continue from where his predecessor stopped as there is high expection from the constituency he is representing.
The Chairman of the occasion, Barr. Awwal Dahiru Tukur said is the right time the people of the constituents to do the right thing. He called for unity of purpose among the constituents which he said is paramount to the progress of the people.
He called on the constituents to rally support for Governor Fintiri describing him as unbiased and a leader that will take the state to the next level.
 

The Guest Speaker of the Civic Reception, the Vice Chancellor Modibbo Adama University Yola, Prof. Abdullahi Liman Tukur lauded Governor Fintiri's giant stride of developing Adamawa, however lamented that the Governor has not gotten so much at the poll from the people he so much loved while charging them to reflect on how they reciprocated Governor Fintiri's gesture in their constituency during the election.
 

The University Don, noted that the major deficiency in the political dispensation is the Constituency Hon Bassi is representing, is one of the largest Federal Constituency that has six House of Assembly members. He assured that the Constituents will support and encourage the Law Maker.
 

In his goodwill message, a friend of the celebrant, Prof Danjuma Gambo of Department of Mass Communication, University of Maiduguri enjoined Hon. Bassi to use available opportunity to lobby projects to his Constituency, explaining that the work of the legislator is to checkmate the executive arm.
 

Earlier speaking, the Chairman Jada LGA, Hon. Mohammed Suleiman So'o described the celebrant as man of his word and a politician to reckon with not only in his Constituency but the entire state while thanking Governor Fintiri for honouring their son. And, thanked Governor Fintiri for appointing Barr. Awwal Dahiru Tukur as Secretary to the State Government.
 

In his vote of thanks, the celebrant, Member Representing Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo at the National Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Inuwa Bassi thanked the former Vice President, Alh. Atiku Abubakar, Governor Fintiri and his constituents for their unflinching support that led to his victory at the polls.
He assured his constituents that he will represent them accordingly and bring unity of purpose among the people.
