NEWS: State Drug Control Committee Described Deputy Governor Professor as a Collosal Leader

The Adamawa State Drug control committee has described Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta as a Collosal Leader.The State Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA who also doubles as the Co-chairman of the Committee, Mr Agboalu Femi Samson made this known during a courtesy visit on the Deputy Governor.

The State Commandant and his entourage were at the office of the number two citizen of Adamawa, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta to congratulate her on their resounding victory at the poll and their successful inauguration, noting that her choice to deputize Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is based on merit.

He said their visit is to identify with her as she makes history to be the first female deputy Governor in Adamawa and the entired north eastern Nigeria, soliciting for continuous partnership as the drug control committee is poised towards checkmating drug circulation and usage in Adamawa State.

The Commandant, NDLEA and the Co-chairman of the Committee, Agboalu Femi Samson attributed the spate of crime and criminality in the society to the illicit drug intake especially by youths, hence their determination to work in synergy with other relevant Agencies and Government to nibb the problem in the bud. According to him, tremendous successes have been recorded by the body over the years which could not have been possible without the support and contributions enjoyed from the visionary leadership of the present administration championed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

He informed the deputy Governor that successive deputy Governors have been mandated to be the Chairman of the drug control committee as embedded in the National Drug Law Control Master Plan.
       
Responding, Professor Farauta appreciated the officials the visit, which she described as timely. She regretted the effect of drug on people especially Youths, assuring of the fresh air administration's continuous collaboration and support in tackling the menace for a healthy and productive society.

There was a presentation of the National drug law control master plan 2021-2025 to  Professor  Farauta as the Chairperson of the drug control committee in Adamawa State.
