Adamawa State Government has set up motion machinery for the establishment of model schools in the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri disclosed this on Friday before holding a close door briefing and presentation to the State Local Government Chairmen and some Government officials by a Consultant for the establishment of proposed Model Schools.
The Governor who was briefing Government House Yola Correspondents at the Council Chambers said that his administration has prioritized education reforms in its agenda since it came on board in 2019.
Governor Fintiri who noted that education is the bedrock for the development of every society, said that his Government will embark on construction of model Nursery, Primary and Junior Secondary Schools in each of the 21 Local Government Areas of the State.
He stated that this is in line with the rejuvenation plan for the Educational Sector by his Government.
Governor Fintiri disclosed that subsequently, Model Senior Secondary School will be established in each of the three Senatorial Zones of Northern, Central and Southern of the State.
He charged the Local Government Chairmen to contribute and make constructive criticism while the Consultant make their presentation so that they will make amendments where necessary in the proposed Model School in the State.
