The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved the construction of flyover bridge and  Super High Waya in the State Capital.
 In a meeting, Friday that was presided by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Council Chambers in Government House Yola, the Executive Council also approved the construction of warehouse in the Government House premises.


Briefing Newsmen shortly after the meeting, the Commissioner, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Honourable Neido Geoffrey Kufulto said that the Executive Council has deliberated and approved the construction of flyover at the Mubi Roundabout in the state capital to reduce traffic congestion and to increase socio-economic activities in the State.
She added that the contact was approved for MSSR Triacta Nigeria Limited to embark on the construction work at the cost of nine billion, two hundred and sixty four million, four hundred and ninety eight thousand, seven hundred and fifty three naira (N9,264,498,753) within the time-frame of 18 months.


Hon. Kufulto explained that the Executive Council has approved the construction of Super High Way from Welcome to Yola at the Federal Government Girls' College linking Rumde Kila to Army Barracks Junction in Yola. 

She stated that the Council has approved the award of the contract of the 20.8km Super Highway to MSSR Triacta Nigeria Limited within the time frame of 30 months at the cost of Twenty One Billion, Eight Hundred and Nineteen Million, Two Hundred and Forty-Eight Thousand, Two Hundred and Thirty Nine Naira, Thirty Kobo (N21,819,248,239.30).


According to the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, the third approval made by the Adamawa State Executive Council was the construction of Warehouse in the premises of Government House, Yola.


She said the Warehouse would have a site at the topographical difference of 150mm and each will be on the rock view foundation formation. And, when completed it will have the storage capacity of 7,800 metric tons of filled rice and similar grains.


She stated that the contract was awarded to MSSR Medugu Commercial and Construction Company at the cost of two hundred and ninety one million, fifteen thousand, five hundred and eighty five naira, seven Kobo (N291,015,585.07kb).
