 Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has warned against spreading fake information capable of threatening the unity and peace of the state and the country in general.

The Governor, gave the warning in his address at the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Malamre, during the celebration of Nigeria Sixty Three Independence and the Lutheran day on Sunday 1st October 2023.

It was a ceremonious welcome given to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and his entourage as they joined other faithful at the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, Malamre, to observe Sunday service which coincided with the celebration of the 63rd Nigeria independence and the Lutheran day, marking one hundred and ten years of Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria existence.

Represented by his Deputy Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, informed Christians that the celebration calls for a sober reflection, advising them to return to God in truth and sincerity for deliverance of Nigeria.

He said, the country has come so far amidst ups and downs, urging the congregation not to lose hope, rather keep faith alive, for there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

The Governor vows never to rest on his oars, until his administration delivers on its promises for the betterment of the citizens devoid of any sentiments, even as he cautioned against spreading false information, instead spread love and information capable of uniting the diverse people of the State and Nigeria.

The preacher Dean Reverend Mathew Mamman who took scriptural reading from Mathew chapter Twenty Eight verses Eighteen to Twenty and titled his message "A Great Commission", reminded the faithfuls that God has entrusted them with the task of making disciples of all nation.The clergyman stressed the need for a great faith, praying spirit, love and persistence to handle the task.   

Earlier, in his independence and Lutheran day address, Dean Reverend Mathew Mamman, thanked God for His sustenance throughout the year amidst challenges.The service according to him also reflects on the missionaries great work and sacrifices, leading to the spread of the Gospel of Lord.

Dean Reverend Mamman acknowledged the efforts of the fresh air administration in championing the cause of equity, peace, justice, fairness and security.There was a special prayer for lasting peace, unity, security, justice and prosperity in Nigeria.
