SANITATION: Members of Adamawa State Executive Council Leads by Example.

In what can be described as demonstration of government services on ensuring clean and hygienic environment, Adamawa State Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta led members of State Executive Council on cleaning heaps of refuse dumps at Lamido Aliyu Mustapha flyover and Maidoki Round About.

Farauta said the exercise was a  directives from Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, as the government is not only poised towards developing the state but also interested in keeping the environment clean at all cost.

Deputy Governor Farauta, appealed for more persons to participate in the environmental sanitation to support the drive for a cleaner state, through enlightenment programmes on the importance of cleaning and having a conducive, healthy environment.

Mohammad Sadiq Mohammad, Commissioner of Environment said machineries have been put in place to achieve the desired goal of the exercise, thereby ensuring that the cleanliness is sustained.

He revealed that the State Government is partnering the State Environmental Protection Agency and Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes to ensure the enforcement of the sanitation.
