URBAN RENEWAL:Adamawa State Government Inaugurates Taskforce for Decongestion of Jimeta Ultra Modern Market.

Adamawa State Government has inaugurated a taskforce for decongestion of Jimeta Ultra Modern Market, which is geared towards transforming the commercial activities of the state.

The committee is chaired by the Hon.Commissioner Ministry of Commerce Trade and Industry, Dr. Ishaya John Dabari.

Addressing members of the taskforce in his office, the Commissioner said the reason for the recent activities in the state capital, is inline with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's urban renewal projects towards developing the state.

He further explained that the decongestion of the Jimeta Ultra Modern Market, will help in the areas of security, easy movement of vehicles in and out, as well as means to create an effective avenue of generating revenue to the state government.

According to Dr. Ishaya John Dabari, the decongestion of the Jimeta Ultra Modern Market will commence two weeks after the month of Ramadan adding that proposed site for the relocation of traders is the Falluja Market.

Dr. John Dabari, urged the general public to support Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's administration as well as ensure promotion of commercial activities in the state for economic benefits.

Members of the Committee consist of some Security outfits including: Police, Directorate of State Security, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Army as well as traders union such as Rana ta fito, Gamzaki, Shops owners Association amongst others.
