EXCO:ADAMAWA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL APPROVES N55 BILLION SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET.

The state executive council has approved supplementary budget of over fifty five billion naira for the year 2024.

The council approved the sum during an emergency meeting presided over by the Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa Farauta at the council chamber, government house, Yola.

Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Neido Geoffrey Kofulto who addressed journalists after the meeting said the approval of over 55 billion naira supplementary budget is for execution of developmental projects across the state.

Giving further details,  Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Emmanuel Piridimso explained that the emergency meeting was necessary because the state has witnessed the influx of funds in recent times, hence the need for supplementary budget to take care of the additional projects.

The Ministries captured in the project  covered by the supplementary budget include; Ministry of Education, Agriculture, Women Affairs, Commerce, Trade and Industry, Works and Energy Development among others.

The resolutions reached at the emergency meeting are expected to be transmitted to the State House of Assembly for onward approval.
