Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says the ongoing Joint Domestic Trade Fair in Bauchi is a manifestation of unwavering commitment of North Eastern governors to ensure economic revitalization and sustainable development in the zone.

The governor, who stated this during "Adamawa Day" at the Trade Fair in Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida Trade Fair Square in  Bauchi, said this is after decades of activities of insurgents in the area.

He noted that the trade fair offers a new page in economic revival and serves as a beakon of hope and avenue for government to showcase it's potentials, minerals and rich cultural heritage of it's people, which remained untapped.
Governor Fintiri, while inviting investors to take advantage of this opportunity to invest in the state, narrated that the state has established Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development as a show of it's commitment, which is also has the mandate to norture necessary support to Small and Medium Enterprises for economic growth.

He emphasized that the state is endowed with large livestock, tourism sites and untapped minerals, which places the state as a major player in enhancing economic growth and development.

In a welcome address, Commissioner of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Doctor Ishaya John Dabari, said the trade fair has provided opportunity for interaction, unity and cohesion in the region.

While appreciating Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for the support to enable local government areas as well as private sector to showcase their wares at the trade fair, said the state is richly endowed.

He noted that there are large arid land for crop production, solid minerals and livestock supported by grazing reserves pointing out that the state serves as a preferred location for investment.

Governor Fintiri, later went round the pavilion of the various local government areas, while traditional dances featured during the event.

Present during the Adamawa Day were the Secretary to the State Government, Auwal Tukur, Commissioners, Members of the state house of Assembly, Permanent Secretaries, Advisers, first class Chiefs in the state amongst others.

Commissioner in the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mrs Neido Geoffrey Kufulto in an interview thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his unwavering commitment to seeing that state delivers satisfactorily to the best.
