Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri urge Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday to be steadfast in delivering selfless service for higher recognition.

The Governor stated this at a public lecture to celebrate the 60th birthday and a formal retirement from civil service of Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, held at Banquet Hall Government House Yola on Friday.

The Celebrant,  Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, was the former Head of Service, who is currently serving as the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Adamawa State.

The event featured retirement lecture with the Topic: Identify Diversity, and Solidarity: CASE FOR A NATION PRAXIS, which attracted dignitaries from all  walks of life.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who was represented by Deputy Governor Professor Keletapwa George Faurata, extended his goodwill messages to the celebrant as well as people of the Adamawa entirely, describing his retirement as a stepping stone.

According to the Governor,  the reward for hard work is more work " I urge you to keep giving in your best do not relent on the job. Make good use of the talents bestowed upon you by God, continue achieving on the targets for more wins".
The Governor said, Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, is dedicated and diligent to his duties, which earned his trust, stressing that was the secret behind his elevation in life.

In a remark, Barrister Boss Mustapha the former Secretary to the Federal Government, who doubles as the chairman of the occasion, said  the celebrant has attained the height in the Civil Service career,  pointing out some qualities of Dr. Edgar Amos such as reliable, dedicated as well as a disciplined person. 

Mustapha, prayed for God's protection as well as Grace upon the life of the celebrant at 60, urging Adamawa citizens to work on strengthening the already established unity.

While delivering lectures on the Topic; "Identity, Diversity and Solidarity: Case for a National Praxis", Vice Chancellor of Federal University Kashere, Professor Umar Pate, said Edgar is gifted with outstanding human relations across religions ethics, professional boundaries as well as human feelings and has identify with his culture.

Professor Umar said, these characteristics are the conducts Nigerians need at this time to build a United country, hence the topic, which was deliberately selected by the celebrant, geared towards paving way for achieving National Unity and Good Governance.

Responding the Celebrant, Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, thanked Adamawa State Government, his family and friends the entire citizens for making this event colourful.
