The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Wunfe B Anthony received the audience of Adamawa State Children's Parliament in her office. The delagation was led by Amos Nakran Mushi who is the Community Mobilisation Assistant from Save the Children ( an NGO).
Children's Parliament is a democratic forum of children ages 8 to 18 yrs of age who come together to develop skills and make their voices to be heard all over the world. Serves as representatives of other Children that can not go to the Government directly to present their problems and needs.
Children's Parliament was inaugurated in August 2023 and have Principal Officers as decision makers, like the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Clerk, Chief Whip and so on, with two representatives from each local Government in the state with the support of save the children organisation under the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
