NEWS: U N Train Adamawa Women For Peace and Security Development.

Worried by the plight of women folks, and the challenges of insecurity in the state. The United Nations has organised a one day training workshop for Peace and Security Development in the state. The training was held at Muna hotel, in Yola Adamawa State. In attendance are women from all walks of life.                  

Declaring the workshop open,the commissioner for women affairs Alhaji Aliyu Bello Tola said the training is timely considering the challenges at hand, he therefore called on the participants to utilize the knowledge they will acquire in the course of the workshop to contribute to peace building efforts in the State.

 In her contribution to the discussion, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Women Affairs ans Social Development Hajiya Maisaratu Bello said Adamawa Women need such training considering our recent experiences and their role in making the society better for all. The United Nation periodically organise training for women in resolving conflicts and promoting peace being the most vulnerable group in the society.
