The United State Agency for International Development USAID
organized a 4- day Field Training Workshop on Education and Crisis and Conflict
Network (ECCN) in Abuja, Nigeria. The programme
is aim at assisting the affected states in the North eastern parts of the
country to adjust from the crisis that happened at their localities. These states
which includes; Adamawa, Bauchi , Gombe and Yobe. The purpose of the workshop
is to improve participants’ knowledge about; use of and, collaboration around
initial and on-going analysis for Education Programming in Conflict affected
environments. Adamawa state delegation was led by officials of the State Universal Basic Education Board ADSUBEB.
The expected outcomes of the workshop however includes
the following; identification of the purpose and
components of conflict analysis for education programming, identification of the purpose and
components of strong school and community level progress indicators for
education programming in conflict affected areas, articulation of why feedback
loops are Important for quality programme design and management of what the
critical elements of feedback loops are, how a feedback loop would work from
the perspective of their Organization, identification of next steps for each of the
organization’s implementing education programming and articulation of how this
field workshop and it’s particular learning outcomes relates to the broader
work of USAID ECCN and finally, identification of suggestion on how to improve the
workshop methodology for future use.
