SPORTS: Commissioner for Youth and Sports Inspects Facilities

The Hon. Commissioner of Youth and Sports Barr. Suleiman .Aliyu Zumo has reiterated the commitment of the Government of Senator Muhammad Umar Jibrilla to Developng Sports in Adamawa State. The Hon. Commissioner gave the assurance during an inspection tour of sporting facilities where he promised to give more support and to promote the sporting activities in the state. Barrister Suleiman said the Adamawa State Sports Council is the engine room that coordinates sporting activities in the state.

 

Therefore, he said the Sports Council is expected to give maximum support to all citizens interested in participating in sports and sports related activities. The Hon. Commissioner appealed for more support and cooperation from all association of sports activities urging each of them to function effectively inorder to develop sports in Adamawa State.

 

Barr. Suleiman Zumo also called on the private sector to participate actively in sports development by sponsoring sporting activities in the State. He said this will promote the economy of the State as well, because an active population is a healthy population and a healthy population is a prosperous population. 

 

He was particularly emphatic on the promotion of  school's sports and other productive activities of the youth.
