The new Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi
Dr Moses Zaruwa said he was given a mandate by the Ministry of
Higher Education to restore back the credibility and Excellence of
Adamawa state university which have been bastardized by the immediate past Vice-Chancellor who was recently removed by the Visitor, Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla. The Acting VC made the pledge while interacting with journalist in his office on the 12th November, 2015.
Conducting his first Management meeting after assuming office, Dr. Zaruwa told them that his cardinal vision is to make sure he restore back
the lost glory of ADSU Mubi which was adversely affected by several factors including by insurgents attacks. He added that, in keeping with his mission to reconcile all waring
factions within the academic community that he has already constituted a
committee of reconciliation to reconcile all those that felt
aggrieved and hurt over the internal crisis that rocked the institution in recent times.
"I am here to make sure peace is restored, I am not here to
witch hunt any body, as a matter of fact I am not here to settle scores
with my colleagues". He said Dr Zaruwa who is serving as the Vice Chancellor on acting
capacity for the second time lamented the sorry stage of academic performance in the Institution and promised to reverse the ugly trend. According to him ADSU some years back is among the best Universities in the country but because of insurgents activities the
school has not been in session for complete academic year.
