Parents
have been urged to give prompt attention to the plight of children as they are
the leaders of tomorrow.
The Wife of
the President Federal Republic of Nigeria Hajiya Aisha Buhari made this charge
when she paid a visit to the Adamawa State Children’s Home Sunday, 15th
November, 2015.
She expressed
concern over the plight of the orphans urging the Wife of the Adamawa State
Governor Hajiya Maryam Mohamed Jibrilla not to relent on her efforts in
bringing succor to the needy.
The wife of
the President also applauded the efforts of the State Ministry of Women Affairs
and Social Development for its commitment towards giving prompt attention to
the Children and less privilege in the society.
Earlier in
her response, Wife of the Adamawa State Governor, Hajiya Maryam Mohammed Umar
Jibrilla thanked the wife of the President for her support and requested for
more assistant in areas taking care of Children with malnutrition as well
provision of more accommodation for the orphans.
The wife of
the President was accompanied by the Wife of the Adamawa State Governor, Hajiya
Maryam Mohammed Umar Jibrilla, Wife of Honourable Commissioners, Honourable
Commissioner, Ministry of Women Affairs, Alhaji Bello Tola, Permanent Secretary
of the Ministry Hajiya Maisaratu Bello and other principal officers in the Ministry.
In a
related development, Pastor Lydia Jacob of the Anglican Church of God, Yola
donated food items to the orphanage.
