The Adamawa State House of Assembly has constituted an Ad-Hoc
Committee to among others fashioned out ways to tackle the prevailing poor
state of hospitals across the state.
The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Honourable Kabiru
Mijinyawa is to chair the committee while all House leaders are to serve as
members.
This followed a matter of Urgent Public Importance tabled on
the floor of the House by Member representing Demsa Constituency Hon. Lumsan
Dilli and supported by all the members of the House.
The lawmakers observed with dismay the level at which people
die prematurely owing to the poor state of equipment in health centres,
particularly government owned hospitals.
The lawmakers also identified mass exodus of doctors, nurses
and midwives as some of the contributing factors.
