The Adamawa State Planning Commission has today 30 November 2015, hosted the State United Nation Population Funds UNFPA Implementing Partners for the year 2016 planning exercise agenda for a 2-day meeting.
In his welcoming Address, Executive Chairman
Adamawa State Planning Commission Engr. Arin Lutu, urged the participants to
bear in mind that Adamawa State in particular has so many challenges caused by
the activities of the insurgency. He explained that as part of the 2016
exercise agenda, the participants should create programmes that will reduce poverty
among the citizenry and to include programmes for reconstruction of
infrastructures damages caused by the insurgents.
The objective of the meeting as stated
by the Program Officer Mr. Auwal Abubakar is to develop a draft on Implementing
Partners for 2016 Annual Work Plan consolidating on 2015 achievement and
aligned with State Strategic Priorities and also to introduce tools that will
be used to review production made by Implementing Partners in the year 2015 and
prepare for 2016 planning exercise.
It is expected that at the end of the meeting,
a list of key challenges of the 2015 programme implementation that require action
steps will be noted; and a draft of 2016 Annual Implementation Work Plan will be
made available. In attendance were the representatives of the following bodies;
