The Honourable Commissioner ministry of Works Barr.Lilian Nabe Kayode who disclosed this at the ministerial media parley organised by the state ministry of Information Yola.
The Commissioner of Works Barr.Lilian Kayode explained that a total of 53.70kilometres of about seventy selected roads networks in Jimeta, Yola,Mubi and other township roads across the state was being constructed and rehabilitated by the present administration under Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla in the last Ten months of his governance.
She stated that in terms of road infrastructure, Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla has done alot in view of its importance to the development of Adamawa state.
According to the Commissioner the state government has engaged about Three reputable construction firms TRIACTA, ROYCON and TEC construction companies to under take the projects and commended them for the quality work which she said all the projects would be completed by the month of June ,2016.
Also contributing on the activities of his ministry, The Honourable Commissioner ministry Agriculture Dr Waziri Haruna Ahmadu said the ministry of Agriculture has designed a series of programmes and activities under the administration of governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla to farmers of Adamawa state.
The Commissioner said the Adamawa state Government has procured enough fertilizer and other farming impliments to be distributed to farmers across the state.
Dr Waziri Haruna Ahmadu also pointed out that his ministry has purchased about Twenty - Five metric Tons of assorted fertiliser during this year's dry season farming which has already been distributed to the dry season farmers in Adamawa state.
He revealed that the ministry of Agriculture also secured soft loan of about 283,000,000,00.from the Central Bank of Nigeria to farming groups ,adding that about One Thousand water pumps was also procured to support farmers during the dry season farming in Adamawa state.
The Agriculture Commissioner also announced that the ministry has collaborated with the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) to support the Internally Displaced persons at various Camps in the state, explaining that One Hundred per cent lost has been recorded in the year 2015 by farmers in the affected areas of Adamawa state as a result of insurgency by the Boko Haram.
He however said the state government has also resocitated a number of Tractors for the use of farmers in order to boost agricultural activities as well as to improve food production to the people of Adamawa state.
