He stated this when he visited Kodomun community to ascertain the level of destruction done to the community as a result of clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the area.
While condoling and sympathising with the victims,Governor Jibrilla explained that it is the responsibility of the Government to protect lives and properties of its citizens
" killings of innocent people would not be acceptable by this government; we will do everything possible as government to ensure that peace and stability has prevail in all the nocks and crannies in the state." He said.
The Governor promised to bring succour to the victims in order to alleviate their suffering.
Earlier the representative of the community Mr. PIUS RAYMOND told the Governor that about Twenty Six Lives were lost and Forty -Eight farms ,and properties worth Millions of Naira were destroyed.
Mr. Pius Raymond then called on the Adamawa state Government to come to the aids of the victims as all of their belongings were burnt down completely.
He also appealed to the government to provide the victims with food items, Medicine and mosquito nets which he said the number One priority of the communities for now.
Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla was accompanied on the visit by His Royal Highness Hama Bata Homun Alhamdu Gladson Teneke, Service Chiefs, Members of the State Executive Council and other prominent personalities from the area.
