The Hon. Commissioner ministry for women Affairs, social development and integration Alhaji Aliyu Bello Tola and development partners paid an official visit to furore IDP camp to sympathise with children of the deceased idps and also donate food items.

Few days ago, it was reported to the ministry that a woman by name Kyallu Alhaji, gave birth at the camp and unfortunately, passed away after the  delivery and left behind children. It was on this note, that the commissioner in collaboration with development partners paid a visit to commiserate and with the orphans, and also encourage the care giver by providing them with  food items and clothes.

In  his remarks, the Hon. Commissioner described death as inevitable, he called on the caregiver to continue with the humanitarian service. The commissioner thanked all the development partners for assisting the IDPs.

In addition, child protection consultant for UNICEF Mrs. Hannatu Yaro, described the condition as pathetic. She called on individuals in the society to support IDPs.
In her remarks,  UN High  Commission For Refugees Mrs. Asama’u  Muhammed Kwembeh, said “we are in this camp to support the IDPs, and we also offer technical and support and child friendly space to the  IDPs."

Responding on behalf of IDPs, Issa Ali thanked the commissioner and his entourage for the kind gesture.
The commissioner was accompanied by; permanent secretary ministry for women affairs,  staff of the  ministry, and some development partners like; CPN, UNICEF, UNHCR WAYEP.
