News: NUJ Zonal Body Pays A Courtesy Call on His Excellency Governor Bindow

By Yunusa Abdullahi. Governor Muhammed  Umar Jibrilla have been commended for his  giant strides  in  transforming Adamawa state with physical Roads  infrastructure and other social amenities to the people of the state. The  commendation was made by the National  Vice-president Zone E  of the  Nigeria Union of  Journalists  (NUJ) Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim who led National  officials  of the Union on a courtesy visit  to Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla  at Government House Yola. 

Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim  had told Governor Jibrilla that  the delegation was in Adamawa state  on directives  by the National  Secretariat of the Union to generate Data on the  Achievements of all the Thirty-six  state  Governors  across the country in fulfilment  of the constitutional  mandate to be accountable to the citizens on good  governance. 

She explained that the  Union  is also  concerned  about the relationship between the  practioners and it's members  and some states Governors in the country, stressing that  by the  visitation the delegation will see things with the  developments in the state,and urged members of the  great Union  to join  hands with the government for the progress  and development of the state. 

The Zonal Vice-president  of the Nigeria  Union of Journalists  also appealed to Governor Muhammed Jibrilla  to provide a vehicle  to the state council of the NUJ  in order to ease the logistics  problem being faced by the Union.

According to Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim the NUJ  has the mandate to regulate the activities of  its members  and stated that the  working relationship between the  state government  and the State council  of the NUJ  is very cordial and  warned members  not to compromise  with the Ethics of the  profession. 

While responding Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla  thanked the  delegation and assured of the state government  support and cooperation  at all times. 

Governor Jibrilla also described the relationship between  his administration  and the entire Journalists in Adamawa state  as very very cordial and hope that the tempo would be sustain 

Earlier the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Information and Strategy Comrade Ahmad Ibrahim Sajoh has lauded the efforts of the present administration under Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla by providing infrastructural development  Abdullahi other basic social amenities to the people of Adamawa state  within shortest period while in office.
