News:Adamawa State Government Condemns Recent Killings of Security Personnel and Innocent People at Kwayine ,Gidan Dadi and Karlahi Villages

This was  revealed  by the  Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Information and Strategy Comrade Ahmad Ibrahim Sajoh who briefed  Newsmen  at the end of the Second State  Security Council Meeting  presided over by Governor Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla at Government House , Yola. 

Sajoh said the  Security  Council  has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his  giant strides  in the fight against insurgency in the North East  and the successful taking  over of Camp zero in Sambisa  forest. 

According to him, the Security  Council  has also  commended the  Traditional  Rulers  in the state  for their prompt response  with regards to security  issues  in their domains. 

He explained  that  a very high  powered  Peace and Reconciliation  Committee  would be set up  by the Government of the State and to be supported by the  International  Agencies  to ensure that Peace, Mediation  and Prevention becomes the  major issue  in the Year 2017.

" The Council  has resolved to  condemned the recent  killings at Kwayine, Gidan  Dadi  and Karlahi  villages and commended the  security  agents for the gallant manners being taken  in securing the  communities of Adamawa state " he said. He had also assured that the  perpetrators  are brought to  book  and punished as a detrain  to others. 

He also  disclosed that a Security Council would be form at Local Government level in order to  maintain peace and harmony  at the grassroots. 

 He however  commended  the Media  particularly the  Press in the state  for their role in handling the matter.
