Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators ICMC in collaboration with Adamawa State Ministry of Justice has trained 67 persons on Special Mediation Skills Accreditation and Certification Programme from 16th - 20th of January 2017, at Madugu Rockview Hotel here in Yola.
The participants include; Religious Leaders, Traditional Rulers, Legal practitioners, Security Agencies , Local Government Chairmen, Adamawa Peace Initiative /AUN etc.
How ever, the aim of the training is to decongest cases in the court either by the religious leaders, traditional rulers etc through dialogue or peace talks with the parties concerned in order to ensure peaceful coexistence in the society. In essence the training is about Alternative Disputes Resolutions (ADR).
The training was organized in batches. Batch A and B are through while Batch C is the next.
